Looking back to look forward
It’s been 10 years since I last posted any sort of work online. Today, while brainstorming what I want to include in natseye.com, I dug up the website I made at age 22. Back then I aggregated a portfolio of projects, mostly from college, but also some personal designs and writing pieces.
Naturally, being as deeply nostalgic as I claim to be, I just spent a few hours reading through it all. It’s crazy to think about how much has happened in the last ten years. I have changed a lot, but I am also exactly the same.
To recap a few of the highlights:
I wrote a few cringe posts about the state of my life, and also a sweet poem for my parents 30th wedding anniversary.
I shared some pretty impressive marketing projects from my undergrad. And over a decade later, I am still into this dust jacket I designed for a graphic design course.
My favorite is series of posts called “Nat’s Guide to Life” in honor of my Nonno, who passed during that time. His name was Nat Giuliani, my hero and namesake. He inspired Nat’s Eye, and yes I stole his logo. In my posts, I captured just a couple of the many piece of wisdom he instilled in me—there is so much more.
in loving memory of my Nonno
I reshare all of this again today, in the spirit of putting it [back] out there. I have lived another decade and have a lot to aggregate and disperse. I am beginning to see a through-line in what inspires me in work and life, and hoping to nurture into something bigger.
Cin cin to the future of Nat’s Eye!
