I'm Natalie, a creative based in Austin, Texas. I spend my time designing experiences. My specialty is nostalgia. I thrive at refreshing the old without sacrificing history.

IRL, I plan and produce events, curate interiors, and food styling. I am design a lot of themed graphics (think invites, menus, cards). And for my day job I am an operator, designing systems and workflows.

I've been designing things forever and counting. To make it offish: I am taking UX/UI courses to pursue a career in product design.

The History Behind Nat’s Eye

My creative journey is deeply rooted in family legacy. "Nat's Eye" is a tribute to my grandfather, Nat, who shaped how I see the world. Nonno was a successful small businessman who owned a men's wear shop. He had an unwavering sense of style, quality, and consistency. While I inherited his eye for design, what truly influenced me was his perspective on life and business. Nonno taught me quality over quantity. His "it's easy to buy" philosophy guides my design approach today—creating work with purpose and longevity rather than following fleeting trends.

What set Nat Giuliani apart was how he treated people. His reputation in my hometown was built on respect and integrity. One family shared how he made Christmas possible for them by setting up a payment plan during hard times. He even allowed teenagers to pay for Levi's on layaway when they couldn't afford them outright. In business and in life, he believed in doing right by people—a value I consider essential to my own work.

As the son of Italian immigrants, Nonno embodied the meaning of hard work. He started with an Army surplus store that evolved into a thriving men's wear shop selling everything from workwear to tuxedos. His business prospered, allowing him to invest in commercial real estate properties that he maintained himself—planting flowers and handling upkeep until just months before he passed away at 92 years old.

His consistency was remarkable. From his meticulously organized notebooks to his unwavering love for Frank Sinatra, Nonno stayed true to himself. He knew what he liked and never felt pressured to change with the times—a rare authenticity I strive to bring to my creative work.

I've adopted his logo as part of Nat's Eye, modernizing it while preserving its history. It's my way of carrying forward his legacy of quality, attention to detail, community respect, and that distinct Italian-American work ethic that made him so special. He nicknamed me "The Fox" because I always figured out his tricks. Now, through Nat's Eye, I'm channeling that same curiosity and perception into creating designs that tell stories, evoke nostalgia, and honor the past while embracing the future.
